The Circumnavigation of Spain
Greetings, all.
I'm healthy again. Couldn't get to an internet for the last few days because
I was on the road. Now that I've found one (an internet cafe, not a road) in
La Coruña, Spain, I'm actually having to readjust to a QWERTY keyboard
after nine days in France.
Anyway, Spain is nice, but things close a lot. Sundays
and Siestas seem to get in the way of everything one might want to do. I briefly
considered trying to get a job with a traveling Beach Volleyball tour on the
setup/breakdown crew until I realized I didn't speak enough spanish, didn't know
enough about safely setting up bleachers, didn't really have enough time to follow
the tour long enough to do any good, and oh yeah...that would have been WAAAYYYY
too much like my last job. So I didn't.
My plan (already in effect) is to circumnavigate the Spanish coastine, cutting
through Portugal when I come to it (on Wednesday), and then shoot back over
to Italy to recover (depending on the timing). So, that's where I am. La Coruña,
in the upper northwesternmost corner of Spain, heading south. Next stop, Porto.
Then on to Sevilla, Cadiz, Gibraltar, Madrid, Barcelona, and Italy (Cinque
Terre if there's time).
Miss you all,
Peace out,
C
